zkSync Lite Migration FAQs

‍✅ Transfer your assets to your Ready account (recommended, before October 1)

This is the smoothest option. Ready on Starknet gives you fast and low-cost transactions, access to DeFi, staking, the Ready Card, and rewards.

How to transfer funds:

1. Switch to your Ready account

2. Select Fund on the asset screen

3. Select From another chain

4. Select zkSync Lite (you can search for it)

5. Select a token from the list of supported tokens

6. Copy the address shown on the screen

7. Switch to your zkSync Lite account and perform a regular transfer of the selected token to the copied address

📤 Option 2: Send assets to another Ethereum wallet

How to transfer funds from your zkSync Lite account to an Ethereum/EVM wallet:

1. Open the Ready app on your phone.
2. Go to your zkSync Lite account.
3. Tap the Move your funds out banner.
4. Scroll down to the layerswap.io link and tap it. 
5. On Layerswap, tap Launch App.

6. Under the From header, tap Source, and enter zkSync Lite.
7. Under the To header, tap Destination, and enter an EVM chain of your choice. In this example, we use Arbitrum One.
8. Under Amount, type how much you want to transfer. You will need to leave some ETH in your wallet to cover the transaction fee. 
9. Tap Connect a wallet. 
10. At the bottom, tap Continue without a wallet.
11. Tap Enter destination address. 
12. Paste your EVM address where it says Enter address.
13. Tap Swap now.

14. Tap OK on the About manual transfer banner.‍
15. Copy the Deposit address. 
16. Return to the homescreen on your zkSync Lite account. 
17. Tap Transfer in the bottom right. ‍
18. Paste the Deposit address, then tap on the address to move to the next screen.

19. Tap zkSync Lite in the Select network screen.
20. Select ETH. 
21. Enter how much you want to transfer and tap Review.
22. Tap Send now.
23. Tap Send now on the “Read carefully before proceeding” banner. Your assets will arrive in your EVM wallet shortly after.

🆕 Option 3: Migrate to the new Ethereum Argent Vault app (not recommended)

Warning: Since Matter Labs halted development for zkSync Lite in March 2023, we don't recommend moving your assets to the new Ethereum Argent Vault app.

1. Install the Ethereum Argent Vault app from the App Store or Google Play Store (link will be added here by October 1st).

2. Install the latest version of Ready from the App Store or Google Play Store.

3. Open the new Ethereum Argent Vault app and tap Get Started.

4. Tap Move Account in the new Ethereum Argent Vault app.

5. Complete FaceID (or biometrics) in Ready and then tap Approve to migrate your keys from Ready app to the new Ethereum Argent Vault app.

6. Tap Ok once your account has been successfully moved.

You can now use the Ethereum Argent Vault app with your Ethereum account.
