Argent is now Ready, and with the new name comes a clearer vision, renewed focus, and two distinct products. This FAQ has all the answers to your most important questions.
What is happening?
We’ve changed name. Argent is now Ready. Alongside the rebrand, we’re doubling down on two products:
Ready (formerly Argent Mobile/Argent Card) – The onchain alternative to your bank. Built for everyday people who want to hold, spend and earn rewards on their favourite tokens.
Ready Wallet (formerly Argent X) – The wallet for crypto natives. With more ways to earn, a dedicated mobile app (coming soon), and possibly more chains.
Both products will be 100% self-custody. Your keys, your coins.
What about Argent Vault?
Argent Vault on Ethereum L1 now is getting its dedicated app (coming soon). Existing users will be able to migrate their accounts, but new accounts cannot be created.
For a smoother experience and access to the Ready Metal card, we recommend bridging to Starknet. Vault users get 30% off Ready Metal when they do.
Why did you change name?
Argent was built to make crypto easy, but the world and the tech was not ready. Now it is, and so are we. We are Ready to build the app that brings crypto to everyone.
Are you still the same team?
Yes. Same team. Same mission. Just a new name, renewed ambition, and more focus.
Is my wallet affected?
No. Your wallet works exactly as it did before. The only immediate change is the name.
In the near future, Ready Wallet will have its own mobile app, so we can best serve its users – crypto natives. But for now, the only thing you’ll notice is a new name.
Do I need to download a new app?
Not yet. Everything continues to work as usual. Ready (formerly Argent Mobile) will remain on the current mobile app. Ready Wallet (formerly Argent X) will soon get its own dedicated mobile app, and we’ll give you plenty of notice when it’s live.
Do I need to move my funds?
Nope. This is a rebrand, not a migration. Your assets are safe.
Can I withdraw my funds?
Of course. All Ready products are 100% self-custody. You can send or withdraw anytime.
Are you still self-custody?
Always. Self-custody is core to everything we build. Your keys, your coins.
What’s happening to my card?
Your card will continue working as normal – same PIN, perks and plan. Over time, it will evolve and improve as part of Ready, the onchain alternative to your bank. For more card FAQs, check out this blog.
Will Argent X be discontinued?
No. Quite the opposite. Argent X is now Ready Wallet.
Why is Ready Wallet separating from Ready?
To stay laser-focused on crypto natives and serve them better. A standalone Ready Wallet app allows us to ship faster and deliver the advanced features our power users expect.
Will you go multichain?
We’re exploring new chains for Ready Wallet. We want to offer the best experience for crypto natives.
Will you stay on Starknet?
Yes. Starknet is perfect for a mainstream crypto app like Ready. Low fees, fast transactions, and an experience that feels as smooth as web2.
Will you stay on Ethereum?
Yes. Ethereum is home. Always has been. From global institutions to indie hackers, everyone is building on Ethereum. Ready will continue to do the same.
We’re very excited about Starknet’s plans to settle on Bitcoin and Ethereum, bringing the two largest ecosystems together trustlessly. Bitcoin is a 2 trillion dollar asset. If Starknet can connect it to Ethereum, it’ll be a huge opportunity.
What’s your plan for Bitcoin and BTCfi?
We’re big believers in Bitcoin’s future and Starknet’s plan to connect Bitcoin and Ethereum. BTCfi will be a major focus for Ready and Ready Wallet. We want to become the go-to wallet to hold Bitcoin and earn yield.

This is day one of something much bigger.
